I have run subway role plays with children and others for whom I am responsible in an unfamiliar city (including my Department Chair and my mother in law as well as my 5 and 8 year olds). "What do you do if you get on a train and mom doesn't?" Get off at the next station and wait. Mom will come for you. "What happens if mom gets on a train and you don't?" Stay put and mom will come back for you. Rush hour on the Seoul subway can be pretty overwhelming. We navigated 3 months abroad with no cell service, and it reminds you about planning and back up planning!
