More from Tim Drake, blogging from WYD:
First, it's important to know that most of the major media outlets are not yet here. CNN, CBS, ABC - their media booths are still empty. They'll come when the pope arrives. That lack of coverage alone skews their coverage. They aren't in the hundreds of parishes filming catechesis or hour-long confession lines, or kids on their knees in silent adoration. There's no "wow" or sensationalistic factor in that for them.
Remember: there are hundreds of thousands of people visiting three cities in Germany for this event. No festival, no demonstration, no gathering, nowhere in the world, is larger today.
