I plan my 2nd grader's lessons by the week and it really works out great. On the weekends I look over where she is on her various subjects, and I write down which pages to work on and which Bible verses to read, etc. for each day of the coming week. I print out a copy for her and give her a new sheet each day, which she checks off as she completes her work. Each of our lessons are no longer than 20 minutes on avg. I think it's less stressful for them that way and they retain more by practicing on a daily basis.
