Oh, that picture at the end is just precious.

And I agree with Oscar's wistful attempts to hang onto the fun. It's the melancholic in me.

Wow! That's a really neat opportunity, especially for parents that aren't keen to send their kids off to camp by themselves. I'm glad you all had so much fun.

Yes, it's really a beautiful place. The YMCA knows how to do camp.

This looks amazing! I had no idea that such a thing existed as Family Camp. The YMCA and YWCO in Georgia had Father-Son or Mother-Daughter weekends, and my husband and older son went on a couple of the YMCA weekends. Really enjoyed them. But I'd never heard of family camp! Now I want to go.

There are several YMCA family camps around the country, all of them offering a different mix of stuff. Besides this one (Camp du Nord -- dunord.org), we have been to YMCA of the Rockies outside of Estes Park, CO, which is a completely different experience but also cool in its own way. I hear that Deer Valley YMCA Camp in PA is also pretty cool.

Here is a list of all YMCA camps
(you would have to click through to find which ones are family camps): http://www.ymca.net/find-a-y-camp/ and here is a list of family camps including non-YMCA ones: http://www.familytravelnetwork.com/articles/summer-family-camps.asp
